July Workshop

Looks like I need to do a little blog updating.  I see where I didn't even add the cards from last month's workshop.  That's what having your granddaughter visit does to your schedule.

Our July workshop is scheduled for July 16th.  That's Saturday morning at 9:30.  If we need to reschedule I'll let everyone know.   Our Friday night workshop in June was a nice change of pace for us old ladies (speaking for myself).

I love this new stamp set, Helping Me Grow, and plan on making two cards from the set.  These are both CASE's from Pinterest.  I have done another one I'll show you at the workshop.  This is a lovely set except that it only contains "Thank you" greetings.  So, I'll let you decide what you want to put on your cards from my collection of greetings.

We MAY get to have a workshop

Well, our planned May 7th workshop was a "no go" pretty much because I planned it over the Mother's Day weekend.  So I'm planning again for May 21st.  Come to find out that it's graduation weekend in our area.  I think this may be the earliest graduation for our school district but it's true.  

So, I'm going to give it a try and hope my graduation card will be useful to someone out there.  

It's difficult to see but on the fish cards we will emboss acetate to give the feeling of water.  It's really unique looking but loses something here.  Also, on the children's card, since I'm using an old stamp set, you can choose any of the cute underwater creatures you would like.  On the man's card (which can be a Father's Day card too) I have already embossed the fish and you can just color it.  You can choose which of these cards you want to make.  Let me know.  You can even make both of them ($3 per card).  Again, advanced notice is necessary.

 




Again, following is meant to be a graduation card with a nice saying inside.  It can easily be a birthday card too.  Inside:  Go Confidently in the Direction of your Dreams.

Magic at the April Workshop

 Finally, I've mastered the magic card.  I took the best methods from a half dozen cards and think I have the very best finished product.  Just sayin'.

So, come give it a try next Saturday, April 16th at 9:30 a.m. and I promise directions this time.  Also, if you have a set you think you would rather use, bring it and we'll give it a try.

February Workshop

We're halfway through Sale-A-Bration and coming up on the last date where we can order two specified sets.  One being this airplane set that is not only good for birthdays but will be a wonderful "manly" graduation card.  The set includes a very appropriate sentiment for graduation.

 Our February workshop will be Saturday, February 13th.  I'm sorry we will have to miss a few of our regulars but I wanted to be sure everyone had a chance to get the two remaining sets before they are discontinued.

January 2016 - Sale-A-Bration

Our January workshop will welcome in the Sale-A-Bration promotion and the new occasions catalog.  I'll link both catalogs on this blog,

I hope to have our first 2016 workshop on January 9th so let me know if you would like to host.

I have made several of the cascade cards and will try to have a few samples.  This isn't my favorite.  If you have Designer Series Paper you love and would rather use that, bring it along and we'll match up with card stock.  As you all know and we've discussed too many times, this years classes will be a little different.

The cost is still $6.00 or $7.00 if you would like envelopes.

Stamp Camp 2015

My posting is late but only because it's so super special this year.  As you all know, our holiday catalog is phenomenal this year and it was hard to limit Stamp Camp to just 3 cards.

Stamp Camp is this Saturday, October 3rd at 9:30.  Instead of breakfast, we will be having a picnic type lunch including hot dogs and sides coordinated by our hostess, Lynne.  Since we're all bringing a dish, the cost per person will only be $6 for the three cards.
