Stamp Camp

The excitement is mounting as Stamp Camp preparations are progressing.  Our Stamp Camp will be this Saturday, October 21st starting at 9:30 a.m.  Let me know if you're interested in joining our group for this fun day.  Here are the cards we are making.  The cost for the workshop is $12 for four cards and I'm throwing in a gift card holder for FREE.

Labor Day Workshop

I'm trying to put together a Labor Day Workshop and have made exceptional cards that I hope will tempt everyone.  I've promised a hot dog lunch if I can gather a large enough group.  We will need more time to complete these cards but the results are terrific so I hope we can get a crowd.

So, here are the cards.  I am going to try and design a Christmas card using the dragonfly card design.  I think that could be great.

August Workshop

This card has a piece of acetate behind the lighthouse.  Hard to see but very effective.  The Happy Birthday is a simple card to get us back on track.  Time to start thinking about Christmas cards!

June Jamboree

Our June workshop will be on Saturday, June 10th at 9:30.  This is the first workshop since the new catalog came out.  I'll have two cards showing off some of the new products in the catalog.  Stop by and take a stab at using my new thinlits.  I may change the Adirondack chair card and have a "sea" background.  We'll see.  I'm afraid you won't come if I tell you we're going to "brayer" again.

Marvelous May Workshop

It looks like we've been able to settle on a date for our May Workshop so mark your calendars and head this way on May 20th at 9:30 a.m.  Julia will be our hostess (with the mostest) and, I think, I have designed two great cards.  The Floral card using the Floral Phrases stamp set and the Detailed Floral thinlits came out so nice and is easy to put together.  The square you see is actually cut into the card and the rose is inside the card.

The Lightening Bugs, on the other hand, was a stinker to get to work for me but I think I've got it figured out (after 7 tries) and believe everyone will be able to handle it with little trouble, especially if you did the dancing lady last month.

I wanted to share a few cards I made this month.  One is for my friend who just had a baby girl.  My friend is a bee keeper so I thought this card was perfect for her.

I also made a graduation card.  I had to take a picture of it rather than scan it so, I'm not sure how it will show.

April (just barely) Workshop

What a busy month this has been for everyone.  Just when I thought I had a free weekend, it was brought to my attention that Earth Day was the 22nd.  As a Master Gardener that's our major holiday. So, let's look at the 29th and see if we can dodge everyone's busy spring projects.

What a time I've had trying to create a couple cards I felt were creative enough for my group.  My best had to be disqualified because I lost my Timeless Tags daisy Thinlit.   And I love the card I made.  I believe my major housekeeping is at fault and it will show up one day.  (I still have quite a few stamp sets for sale.  I sold about 75).

I tried time and again to make a "Beautiful You" pop up type card and finally, today, decided it was just going to be too complicated and a simple card looks just as good.  I love this set.  So, here's what we're making and also an example of the daisy thinlit card I had hoped to make.  I promise we'll make it if this thinlit shows up.  I even have the preparation done already.

See you on the 29th.

Dragonfly Crazy

Our February Sale-A-Bration will be on Saturday, February 11th at 9:30.  I saw this first card on Pinterest and love the swampy feel of it so we'll attempt to make this.  The other card is what Barb, my upline, made.  I think it's going to be simple and quick for us to make.  So, let's get together on the 11th and keep in mind that for every $50 you spend, you can choose a Sale-A-Bration gift.

As a side note, I've already given three Beautiful You cards and the response has been overwhelming.  I love this set and even stamped one of the stamps (Happy Birthday, Gorgeous) on my 9 year old granddaughters card.  It seems to fit any age, doesn't it?
