September Workshop
Our September workshop is scheduled for Saturday, September 14th at 9:30. Everyone liked one card I had already made and I just finished another that I like. I made it a Thanksgiving card but it can really be for any occasion. I also am making one in fall colors with the same technique. I think they're both beautiful.
I also asked about changing class days and times since getting enough people to attend has really become an issue with our busy lives. One suggestion was Friday nights like our old recipe swap nights. Let me know what you think. We have quite a few people who are free during the week but, again, we are a very busy group so it's hard to find a good day.

August's Workshop
I've actually gotten ahead of myself creating a couple cards for future workshops. Our workshop will be this coming Saturday, August 17th, at 9:30 a.m. Bobbye will be hosting. Depending on the feedback I get as far as which two you want to make, I will plan the workshop accordingly. I didn't post my favorite one and we'll definitely do that one in September (oh the anticipation!). So, let me know which "fish" card you prefer to do this month.
Don't you know I'm having a good time entertaining my grandson this week. Vertigo has not been my friend and now I'm coming down with a cold but I've seen more of Atlanta than any human should be allowed to see. It's so much fun seeing things I haven't seen for 35 years (not that my kids could possibly be that old). The Atlanta Zoo blew me away...well worth a visit.
I made this card following our class above. Everyone chose the blue background card but we had loads of ideas on how to change it. On this one I stamped with the Midnight Muse and Versamark mixed and then used clear embossing powder. Then I used some brighter colors with the blender pens which I inked up with the stamp pads. and finally I used Crystal Effects. I stamped the reef in either Cherry Cobbler or Cajun Craze. I then cut out the fish and shells and added to the card. The card is a get well card and really is cheerful looking. Try it!
