Happy New Year

November Workshop

Our last workshop for 2016 is going to be Friday evening, November 11th, at 6:30.  We'll do  two more Christmas cards and one of the cards is the much talked about Z-Fold Card which can be used in a variety of ingenious ways.  I'll include one I made for my grandson.

   

 

Stamp Camp

Fall has arrived and with that Halloween, Thanksgiving and STAMP CAMP.  We will have our stamping day on Saturday, October 22nd starting at 9 a.m.  And...since we're all older and (wiser) tire easily, I also have promised Sunday afternoon to finish our projects.

I think you'll like the cards..three Christmas and one Thanksgiving.  Also I've been making giveaway gifts thanking you for your business this past year.

I'm going to sneak in a Stampin'Up workshop at the end of August.  I know everyone wants to use their bonus coupons so we might as well get together and make a few cards.  If you can't come, send me your information and I'll enter it with the workshop order.

I HAVE to know if you intend to come by this coming Tuesday so I can prepare the cards.  I plan on having the workshop Friday evening, August 26th at 6:30.

Here's what we'll be making.  The striped card is a gift card holder.

July Workshop

Looks like I need to do a little blog updating.  I see where I didn't even add the cards from last month's workshop.  That's what having your granddaughter visit does to your schedule.

Our July workshop is scheduled for July 16th.  That's Saturday morning at 9:30.  If we need to reschedule I'll let everyone know.   Our Friday night workshop in June was a nice change of pace for us old ladies (speaking for myself).

I love this new stamp set, Helping Me Grow, and plan on making two cards from the set.  These are both CASE's from Pinterest.  I have done another one I'll show you at the workshop.  This is a lovely set except that it only contains "Thank you" greetings.  So, I'll let you decide what you want to put on your cards from my collection of greetings.

We MAY get to have a workshop

Well, our planned May 7th workshop was a "no go" pretty much because I planned it over the Mother's Day weekend.  So I'm planning again for May 21st.  Come to find out that it's graduation weekend in our area.  I think this may be the earliest graduation for our school district but it's true.  

So, I'm going to give it a try and hope my graduation card will be useful to someone out there.  

It's difficult to see but on the fish cards we will emboss acetate to give the feeling of water.  It's really unique looking but loses something here.  Also, on the children's card, since I'm using an old stamp set, you can choose any of the cute underwater creatures you would like.  On the man's card (which can be a Father's Day card too) I have already embossed the fish and you can just color it.  You can choose which of these cards you want to make.  Let me know.  You can even make both of them ($3 per card).  Again, advanced notice is necessary.

 




Again, following is meant to be a graduation card with a nice saying inside.  It can easily be a birthday card too.  Inside:  Go Confidently in the Direction of your Dreams.

Magic at the April Workshop

 Finally, I've mastered the magic card.  I took the best methods from a half dozen cards and think I have the very best finished product.  Just sayin'.

So, come give it a try next Saturday, April 16th at 9:30 a.m. and I promise directions this time.  Also, if you have a set you think you would rather use, bring it and we'll give it a try.

February Workshop

We're halfway through Sale-A-Bration and coming up on the last date where we can order two specified sets.  One being this airplane set that is not only good for birthdays but will be a wonderful "manly" graduation card.  The set includes a very appropriate sentiment for graduation.

 Our February workshop will be Saturday, February 13th.  I'm sorry we will have to miss a few of our regulars but I wanted to be sure everyone had a chance to get the two remaining sets before they are discontinued.
